UEL COUNCIL MEETING REPORT

OCTOBER 25, 2008

TORONTO, ONTARIO

Dominion Membership Report:
Congratulations to all for surpassing last year. We are now at 2,608 paid up members. We have passed the 2007 total, now at 100.3% and are at 95% of 2008 objective, which is 2,613, only 5 more members. Bicentennial Branch is at 108% of our 2007 membership and hopefully we can increase that number in 2009.

List of Certificates Issued:
You may be interested to know that an updated list of certificates issued has been compiled for use by branch genealogists. As of October 18, 2008 there are 8,461 names on 121 pages of members who have received their UEL certificates.

The Dominion Conference and AGM 2009 will be hosted by Bay of Quinte Branch in Napanee and Adolphustown next June 11 - 14, 2009. They are planning a Loyalist encampment at Adolphustown. Guest speaker at the Friday dinner will be Sir John A. Macdonald and for the Saturday banquet Sgt. Major David Moore who has spoken at our branch on two different occasions. Sunday service will take place at Old Hay Bay Church.
